While our JSDG team certainly loves our roots here in Chicagoland, we also design for clients all over the country. If you are familiar with our portfolio, you know we’ve designed everything from penthouses in Boston, to desert sanctuaries in Scottsdale, AZ and beach homes in Fort Lauderdale, FL and along Lake Michigan. And that’s only a handful of the many long-distance projects we’ve absolutely adored designing. 

In fact, Jamie and Olivia just returned from an exciting trip to Laguna Beach to view one of our most recent projects. They took measurements of every corner, window, and doorframe and returned home with all the necessary specifications to begin designing back at the showroom. Currently, we are also finishing up two stunning builds for our clients’ lake homes in New Buffalo, MI. Many of our out-of-state builds are projects from clients who bring us along to design their second, third, or vacation homes, or seek out our guidance when they are ready to move.

We go above and beyond for out-of-state projects just like we do for local builds

Our JSDG team prides itself on going above and beyond for our clients- and that philosophy doesn’t change when we’re designing long distance. You can expect clear communication, gorgeous, creative solutions, functional designs that flow, and projects delivered within budget. 

We bring the process to you

For our local clients, we host our concept and design meetings at our JSDG Highland Park showroom. For our out-of-state clients and projects, we bring that process to you. We’ll bring samples, mood boards, design proposals, and more. While the setting may be different, our creative process remains perfectly in flow. 

You don’t have to be onsite

We take the stress off of you— if you can’t be present for onsite appointments with the trades, no problem. Oftentimes, for second homes or vacation homes, we know our clients’ ability to be there is limited, as your life exists elsewhere. This is no problem. We will communicate through video chat and send video and photo updates throughout the process, working with your schedule.

We make connections with local trades 

Here in Chicago, we take our clients around to local vendors so they can touch, feel, see, and sample appliances, furniture, etc. This is important to Jamie, so when we work out of state, we make connections with local trades to maintain this experience as much as possible. 

We love bringing our interior design firm’s skills to other places throughout the country. In fact, designing in new and distant places is incredibly inspiring for us: new colors, textures, weather, and scenery invigorate our creative visions.
